Is putting your arm near the computer monitor for a long period of time bad?

Sometimes when I'm surfing the net, I place my arm right under the screen part of the monitor for hours. Is this harmful to my body? Will it damage my cells? BTW I have an LCD Monitor

1. No, that sounds stupid, if it was dangerous to your body they wouldn't be allowed to sell it.
2. No I have never heard of anything like that before. A monitor is just like a tv a screen.
3. umm first of all , HOURS ? ! goshhhh ! thats a longg time and i dont really think so ; it should be just fine .
